Zagreb funicular

The funicular provides public transport of passengers from Upper Town Zagreb to Lower Town Zagreb. The track is only 66 metres long which makes it the shortes one in the world.  The 64-second ride gives you a chance to have a great view of Lower Town. The lower station is at the end of Tomiceva Street, a side street of the main shopping street Ilica. The price of a ticket is 4,00 Kuna (approx. € 0,5). Tickets can be bought at the operator’s cabin on the lower station or by the driver at the upper station. It’s a nice ride and from the upper station at the base of Lotrscak Tower it is just a short walk to the St. Mark’s Square with the Government buildings and the beautiful St. Mark’s Church. The funicular departs daily every 10 minutes. From the Upper Town it’s an easy walk going back down via either the Ulica Radica or the very lively Tkalciceva Ulica with the many bars, restaurants and shops.
